NAPF support of LGBTQ+ CRNAs and SRNAs goes beyond financial sponsorship.

We recognize the importance of LGBTQ+ peer-led professional networking events as many have experienced discrimination and marginalization from families, in academia, by colleagues and in healthcare as patients and providers. 

​

Fifty plus years after Stonewall many in LGBTQ+ communities continue to struggle with safe access to healthcare, encounter discrimination, or refusals of service and delay or forego care because of concerns of mistreatment. As many states look to further limit healthcare access to our marginalized communities, it is especially important to support organizations that provide essential services, mentorship and create safe spaces for our LGBTQ+ community.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization working to impact diversity, inclusion and allyship in healthcare by supporting LGBTQ+ identified providers in nurse anesthesiology. Through academic scholarships, professional event sponsorship, and investment in social and networking opportunities specifically for LGBTQ+ Nurse Anesthesiologists, NAPF invests in the protection and healthcare advocacy for our LGBTQ+ futures.
