NAPF's support of LGBTQ+ CRNAs and NARs goes beyond financial sponsorship of students.​

Fifty plus years after Stonewall, safe access to healthcare is STILL a concern for our community. Many delay or forego care reporting discrimination and fear of mistreatment as access barriers. As many states limit healthcare access to our LGBTQ+ communities, we acknowledge our roles as CRNAs in contributing to equitable healthcare. We also recognize the importance of LGBTQ+ peer-led professional networking events as many have experienced discrimination and marginalization from families, in academia, by colleagues and in healthcare as patients and providers.

NAPF impacts diversity, inclusion and allyship in healthcare by supporting LGBTQ+ identified providers in nurse anesthesiology.
