Zach Missel, MSN, RN, CNE

Zach (he/him), MSN, RN, CNE is pursuing a DNAP degree at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, graduating December 2027. He earned his BSN from Illinois State University, and MSN from Southern New Hampshire University. His clinical practice has included gender-affirming care, hem/onc/transplant ICU, and nursing management. Zach is dedicated to integrating LGBTQIA healthcare needs into nursing curricula and mentorship of nurses coming from diverse backgrounds. He hopes to further integrate this experience into his nurse anesthesia career moving forward.

When he is not studying, he enjoys exploring new cruise ships with his husband, Collin, spending time with their cat, Pilot, and dog, Van Gogh, or having a board game night with his fellow nurse anesthesia residents.
